What the air does out here
This is the last marker in Big Dusk Country, and the road knows it. The light has gone long and orange, somewhere off the shoulder a fire has been burning just long enough to settle, and the air carries oak barrel and woodsmoke like it has nowhere better to be. This is the mile you slow down on for no reason you could name out loud.
Who rides with it
Two-lane drivers. People who let the song finish in the driveway. Anyone whose idea of a nightcap has more to do with the porch than the glass.
Pair it at the next stop
It shares a barrel with Bourbon and Oak back at Mile 75, and if you keep rolling, Porch Light Basin opens at the next marker, where Campfire Marshmallow at Mile 93 turns this same smoke sweet.
