What the air does out here
The flats run out at Mile 9, quietly, at a small tea house on the county line. Steam on the window, ginger snapping in the kettle, and Orchard Valley laid out from the porch like next week. The kettle here has one job and takes it seriously, which is more than most kettles can say.
Who rides with it
Quiet finishers. Porch sitters who read the last page slowly on purpose. Anyone who prefers a scent that lowers its voice instead of raising it.
Pair it at the next stop
The same cup pours again at the far end of the road: Chai Tea Latte waits at Mile 94, deep in Porch Light Basin, spiced and after dark. Finish this one first. The valley starts at the bottom of the hill.
